Indivisible: Solidarity In Action Speaker & Truth Brigade Series

With the rise of authoritarianism in the US — and across the globe — marginalized communities continue to be targeted at an alarming rate. To push back this extremism, we cannot leave them on the front lines alone. If you want to be a better ally to the communities most endangered by the current state of affairs in this country, this is the training series for you!

This is just the first in a wonderful line of informative and actionable trainings we will be holding for you over the next couple of months. We will have more incredible experts sharing their knowledge with you to announce soon, but in the meantime here are some of the topics we intend to cover in the ongoing series:

Building Bridges for America: supporting progressive grassroots organizers

Democracy is participation. And we believe participating in politics must be accessible.

We fill in the training gap by providing training for volunteer organizers by volunteer organizers. We offer our courses for free and encourage reusing our materials. And we offer our courses via live online courses, via on-demand videos, and with accompanying workbooks that take your right into the action.

Our report, The Authoritarian Playbook: How reporters can contextualize and cover authoritarian threats as distinct from politics-as-usual outlines the seven fundamental tactics used by aspiring authoritarians, describes examples from in and outside the United States, and offers a framework journalists can use to differentiate between politics-as-usual and something more dangerous to democracy.
