Neighbors Helping Neighbors
The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Action Group is focused on taking action to support members of our community who are being impacted by economic upheaval that has come as a result of disappearing or shifting legislative decisions by this administration on the federal level that results in state and local shortfalls.
Kids Parade and Games at Hometown Heroes
The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Action Group will be providing tons of fun for youngsters at the Hometown Heroes of the Chippewa Valley event on August 23, 2025. The activities will include a Parade, Games, and Juggler!
The day will begin with a Kids Costume Parade complete with “Float Wagons and Bikes! These “Future Heroes of the Chippewa Valley will parade around Riverfront Park to rousing music, following behind the Parade Marshal.
The free games will include Face Painting, Gone Fishing Game, Rock Painting, and Wheel of Fortune game. Each child will receive game tickets to choose their favorite games.
Neighbors Noshing with Neighbors
CVI will host a second hot meal for community members on July 1 in Chippewa Falls. (We hosted the first on June 22; see below.)
As hosts, we donate toward the food costs, help prepare and serve the meals, and clean up afterward. For anyone who would like to serve the community with us, you’re invited to volunteer or donate below.
