Our Economic Bill of Rights

Join us Thursday, August 7, at 5:30pm at the Market on River for FIGHTING OLIGARCHY in the Chippewa Valley to explore how we can support the fight against oligarchy here! Town Hall format  invites you to voice your concerns and share your opinions on the path forward.

The original Wisconsin Idea was born of necessity in an era when robber barons held vast swaths of wealth and power. In that time, the economy and the government were dominated by the rich whose monopolies forced the working class towards poverty. The Wisconsin Idea launched a progressive movement that transformed our state and inspired FDR’s New Deal and Economic Bill of Rights.

Working families across Wisconsin struggle to afford necessities while the rich keep getting richer. It’s time for a New Wisconsin Idea centered around economic justice for all Wisconsinites.
