The December 6 meeting will be replaced by the Bridge to Wonderland Parade in Chippewa Falls. The Hometown Heroes of the Chippewa Valley (that’s us) have volunteered to be the part of the Bridge to Wonderland Safety Team. We need at least 10 people to serve on the Safety Team.
- Volunteers meet at 5pm on Saturday, December 6th at the Main Street Association office (514 North Bridge Street) for instructions and their exciting and stylish safety vests.
- Parade begins at 6pm.
- Volunteers set up barricades before and take them down after the parade. Parade lasts approximately 1 hour.
- Volunteers assist Chippewa Falls Police Department and State Troopers with crowd control. All of our participants are aware of rules. They know that throwing candy from vehicles is prohibited—they must walk over to the crowd and gently toss the candy to avoid children darting out in front of floats and vehicles. (Each participant is required have 2 adults walking in front of their unit who will also watch for kids).
- After the parade, volunteers take down the barricades and bring back safety vests to Main Street.
- Sign up for the Bridge to Wonderland Parade Chippewa Falls
