On Saturday, June 14, an estimated 4500 people came to Owen Park to stand with friends and neighbors. The marched the 1.9 miles in intermittent rain to the PRIDE celebration in Phoenix Park. The crowd was so large that the first marchers were returning to Owen Park as the last few hundred were just leaving. The incoming and outgoing marchers lapped one another on the Lake Street bridge with one line being rerouted under the bridge to avoid a traffic jam! People were joyful and peaceful, chanting and chatting as the moved through the city. Shop owners along Graham and Barstow stepped outside to cheer the passing marchers. When they arrived at Phoenix Park, they were greeted by thunderous cheers. Below, you will find links to two Photo Galleries of Eau Claire photos and videos. Media coverage of the event was extensive. The reporters from WEAU and WQOW captured wonderful moments from the rally to share with their viewers. The Eau Claire Leader Telegram interview rally goers who had come from some distance to stand with rally-goers in Chippewa Falls.

Video from Wisco Cowboy is great. Brit Blankenheim contributed bridge video and photos. Michael and Korah captured great video and the shot above. And dozens of members and friends shared everything else with us! We are grateful for everyone helping us document the love and joy of this movement!
