CVI set up a voter registration table at Pride in the Park, connecting with community members and registering new voters in a celebration of inclusion and democracy.

Our volunteers tabled throughout the event, having conversations about voting rights, upcoming elections, and what’s at stake. It was a natural fit — CVI believes that democracy works best when everyone participates, and Pride is about celebrating the freedom to be who you are.

When farmer Dennis M created a bold message visible from the air on his field, he probably didn’t expect it to reach 238,000 people — but that’s exactly what happened. The image exploded on Reddit, was picked up by Robert Hubbell’s influential national newsletter, and shared by Craven and other commentators.

It’s a perfect example of what makes CVI’s network so powerful: authentic voices from real Wisconsin farmers cutting through the noise in ways that polished political ads never could. Dennis’s message resonated because it was genuine — a working farmer using his own land to speak truth.

The viral moment brought national attention to the Chippewa Valley and proved once again that our local actions have the power to reach millions.

Nineteen vehicles formed a caravan from Eau Claire to Chippewa Falls as part of CVI’s Healthcare Ambulance Tour — a rolling statement that our communities won’t stay silent while rural healthcare is dismantled.

The caravan stretched along the highway, drawing honks and waves from drivers and turning heads in every town it passed through. It was a powerful visual: a line of neighbors, all saying the same thing — we’re watching, we’re organized, and we’re not going away.

The caravan capped off a day of action that included rallies, speeches from healthcare workers, and conversations with community members about what’s at stake in November.

CVI’s Healthcare Ambulance Tour rolled through nine Wisconsin cities with a decommissioned ambulance, bold signage, and a message that resonated everywhere it stopped: rural healthcare is under attack, and the people who voted to gut it need to be held accountable.

The tour generated massive earned media coverage at every stop, with local TV stations, newspapers, and online outlets picking up the story. Crowds gathered, healthcare workers spoke out, and patients shared their stories. Impact stories from Dr. Dall-Winther, Teresa Kriese, and Mark Steigerwald put real faces on the crisis.

This wasn’t a one-day event — it was a sustained campaign that kept healthcare in the headlines for weeks. The ambulance became a symbol: when your representatives vote to take away your hospital, we’ll bring the ambulance to their doorstep.

Hundreds of people packed into High Country in Eau Claire for CVI’s Charlie Berens Data Center Event — and the energy was electric. The comedian and Wisconsin native brought his signature humor to one of the most pressing issues facing our region: the push to build massive data centers on Wisconsin farmland.

But it wasn’t just entertainment. The event featured speakers who laid out the real costs — skyrocketing electricity bills, drained aquifers, destroyed farmland, and communities left holding the bag while tech giants profit. The crowd left informed, fired up, and ready to fight back.

The event generated significant media coverage and put the data center issue squarely on the map. A follow-up meeting in Knappa Valley is already in the works to turn that energy into action.
