South Carolina is currently experiencing one of the largest measles outbreaks the United States has seen in decades, with 920 confirmed cases (as of 2/16/2026) of a disease that is entirely preventable with vaccination. This outbreak highlights how dangerous it is when public officials ignore science to promote policies and rhetoric that undermine confidence in vaccines.

RFK Jr.’s long-standing positions on vaccines have contributed to widespread misinformation, changes to previous evidence based guidelines and declining vaccination rates. These actions rise to the level of misconduct in office. Mr. Kennedy is unfit to serve in any role relating to public health policy due to his flagrant disregard of science and frankly disregard for vulnerable populations

It is high time he be held accountable for the harm he is causing. I demand that you not only publicly condemn vaccine misinformation and demand evidence-based public health policy but also call immediately for his impeachment.

People are dying of a preventable disease. RFK must be impeached and the Trump administration needs to be called out on their complete disregard for human health and safety.
