CVI’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors Group (NHN) spearheaded a CVI T-shirt project in May. Cyndi created an awesome design for the shirts, the L.E. Phillips Career Development Center printed them, and they were a big hit! CVI members — and even some community members — ordered 35 shirts at $22 each.
We had two T-shirt designs: the standard design with the awesome CVI logo and an alternate design that was identical except for the added words “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” under the logo. The original idea for the alternate design was that the NHN Group would wear it during community service events… but, to our surprise, over 90% of your shirt orders in May were for the NHN alternate design!
That was unexpected, but, in hindsight, it makes perfect sense: First, because CVI members from every action group enjoy pitching in for community service events! And second, because helping our neighbors is a major driving force behind everything CVI does across all our action groups!
Since May, we’ve been getting requests for more shirts, and we’ll be printing another batch soon. Watch the NHN blog for details!
